As dense fog blankets Delhi affecting visibility in several areas, several trains were reported to be running late. According to the news agency ANI, several trains to and from Delhi have been delayed today (December 27) due to fog and low visibility in the national capital.

The trains which arrived late in Delhi yesterday include Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express, Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express, Kanpur-New Delhi Shramshakti, Allahabad-New Delhi Prayagraj, Azamgarh-Delhi Kaifiyat Express, Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Vikramshilla, Gaya-New Delhi Magadh Express, Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani, Durg-Nizamuddin Samparkkranti, Chennai-New Delhi GT Express, Hyderabad-New Delhi Telangana, Habibgang-New Delhi Bhopal Express, Khajuraho-Kurukshetra Express and Vasco-Nizamuddin Goa Express.
Dense fog blankets Delhi
A dense layer of fog enveloped various parts of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday morning, causing visibility to plummet to nearly zero. The relentless cold wave persisted in the national capital region, with the minimum temperature plunging to 7 degrees Celsius. The chilly conditions are not limited to Delhi alone, as the entire North India region grapples with the grip of a cold wave.

Fog alert for UP, Bihar, other states
States such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand are also experiencing a notable dip in temperatures, further intensifying the winter chill. Dense fog conditions will also affect the visibility in northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
“The minimum temperatures are in the range of 6-10°C over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi & Western UP and 11-12°C over most parts of Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and some parts of north Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand,” IMD said in a statement.
