Dense fog engulfed the national capital today (December 28) as cold wave maintained its grip in northern India. Delhiites woke up to a hazy morning as a thick layer of fog covered the city leading to low visibility and disruption for the commuters. According to IMD forecast, the anticipated weather conditions suggest maximum and minimum temperatures of around 21 and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Thursday.
Due to this, some trains arriving and departing from New Delhi were delayed on Thursday morning due to fog and low visibility. A total of 22 trains heading towards Delhi are experiencing delays due to the dense fog, with some trains running behind schedule by up to 9.5 hours.
