BEL receives orders worth Rs 678 crore, takes cumulative orders for FY2023-24 to Rs 26,613 crore

Navratna DPSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Tuesday said that it has signed a contract for a value of Rs 445 crore with the UP Government on 23 Dec 2023 for next generation UP Dial 112 project.

The company will be providing comprehensive and state-of-art hardware, AI based software tools and cyber security solutions for the Dial 112 project, which is spread across the entire state of Uttar Pradesh, it said in a regulatory filing.

The company has also received additional orders worth Rs 233 crore since the last disclosure on 22nd Dec 2023 and these orders pertain to Communication Display Units, Thermal Imaging cameras and other miscellaneous spares & services.

With the above, BEL has cumulatively received orders worth Rs 26,613 crore in the current financial year 2023-24.

Earlier in October, BEL had reported net profit at Rs Rs 812.3 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal, which was 33 per cent more than last year’s Rs 611 crore. BEL reported a 1.2 per cent increase in its revenue in Q2 FY24 from last year at Rs 3,993.3 crore. In the first six months of this fiscal, the company’s total income stood at Rs 7,816.33 crore, which is 7.17 per cent higher against its total income of Rs 7,293.36 crore in H-1FY23.
