The national capital witnessed dense fog on Thursday (December 28), maintaining the cold wave’s influence in northern India. Delhi residents experienced a hazy morning with low visibility and disruptions due to the thick layer of fog. As per the IMD forecast, the maximum and minimum temperatures is expected to settle around 21 and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively, today.
Some flights to and from the national capital were delayed owing to foggy conditions. As many as 134 domestic and international Delhi-bound flights were affected due to this weather.

Dense fog in North India
Meanwhile, the Met Office informed that dense fog conditions is likely to continue in parts of the national capital, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during the night and morning hours for the next three days.
“Dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to continue during night/morning hours in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi during Dec 28-29 and in some parts for subsequent 3 days. Dense to very dense fog conditions very likely to continue during night/morning hours in some parts of Uttar Pradesh during Dec 28-29 and Dense fog in isolated pockets for subsequent 3 days,” the weather office said in its five day bulletin.
